Lovely Quilting - OPI Euro Centrale Nail Art

Today's nail art is a lovey-dovey quilted pattern! I'm excited about this design -- it was fairly easy and I think it turned out super cute.

I used three colors for this design.

I began with a base color of OPI You're Such a Budapest. I think this shade is my favorite from the new OPI Euro Centrale Collection. It's a pretty lavender with a faint silvery shimmer. The formula was a little thin and sheer (I needed three coats) but I didn't mind so much cause it's such a cute purple.

Next, using my nail art striper, I painted on the hearts and the quilted lines with OPI Vant to Bite My Neck?. This deep, dark purple isn't normally the type of shade that I'm drawn to, but I think it worked out really nicely in this context.

Finally, I mixed You're Such a Budapest with a bit of white and lightly brushed it inside the diamond shapes to give the pattern a bit of dimension.

Voila! Quilting success!

I think this is a great option for people that want a bit of Valentine's Day cuteness without going too overboard. Of course, you could also go V-Day crazy and do it in pinks and reds! Nothin' wrong with that!

What do you guys think? Is this the kind of Valentine's Day look you'd like to wear, or do you prefer pinks and reds?

Euro Centrale by OPI should be available beginning today at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.
