Today's nails remind me of the surface of the sun, so I am calling them "Surface of the Sun Nails." Yeah, I'm creative with titles. No big deal.
I grabbed a pic of the sun from Wikipedia to show you what I mean. See it? The sun even has the same black background thing going on!

This manicure is really pretty simple. I started with a gradient (tutorial) of Zoya Arizona and Zoya Lo. The gradient wasn't as pronounced as I thought it would be, but sometimes subtle can be nice too! It also shows up differently in different lighting, to make things even more complicated.
Then, I added one coat of Pretty and Polished Phoenix. Phoenix is a beautiful glitter topper with small and large red hex glitters, as well as micro yellow matte glitter (I think I see white in there too, but I could be imagining things...). The larger red glitters in this are so reflective that they look like rubies. They are super pretty.
These nails seem appropriate for the massive heatwave that is bearing down on the US right now. You may have seen these if you follow me on Instagram (@chalkboardnails). I was antsy yesterday and couldn't help posting a little peek. Anyway, if you're on IG, check me out! I post valuable things like pictures of this cinnamon sugar butter that I found at the grocery. Actually, that pic has these nails in it, too...
I hope you guys like this manicure as much as I do! I actually wore this one for days (PLURAL!), which is pretty rare for me. ;)
