China Glaze Rainstorm Layering

As soon as I saw this mani by Bridget of Polish? Oh My... on Instagram, I knew I had to recreate it. I fell in love with her combination immediately. Just one problem -- I didn't own China Glaze Rainstorm, one of the main ingredients in the manicure. "Oh well," I said, "I guess it's off to eBay I go!" not actually feeling bad about buying a new polish for one second. Ha.

My version of this manicure is one coat of China Glaze Rainstorm, then one coat of Sonoma Nail Art Wine Country Wedding, then another coat of Rainstorm, then a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I don't have Sonnetarium Snowfall, which is what Bridget used, but found that the SNA polish worked quite well for these purposes, too!

Rainstorm is a neat polish. It's very sheer, but of course that's what makes it work well in this scenario. It is kind of shimmery, with dark blue flecks in it. I'm definitely glad I bought it.

I almost wanted to stop before putting on the layer of Fairy Dust in this manicure. It looked really pretty, too. But I trusted in Bridget's layering combo and added it on. It added sparkle (obviously!) but also a lot of great texture and another layer of depth to this already awesome manicure.

Hope you guys like! Thank you Bridget for coming up with such a great manicure!
