31DC2013 Day 12: Green Ombre Stripes

I have a hard time getting excited about the stripe prompt. There's just something about stripes that don't really get my creative juices going! Maybe I need to think harder on it next time, but for now, I have a simple ombre vertical stripe design to share with you today.

This is loosely inspired by Mr. Candiipants' stripe gradient manicure, though she had thinner stripes, multiple colors, and of course her look was oriented horizontally!

As far as colors go, I used five Zoya shades:
Zoya Purity - white
Zoya Neely - pale spring green
Zoya Josie - medium green
Zoya Hunter - deep forest green
Zoya Raven - black

I chose to alternate the order of the stripes so that it would look like the ombre was bouncing back and forth between all nails, though I'm unsure how I feel about the finished effect.

Tomorrow is animal print day, one of my favorite days in the entire challenge! I hope to have something awesome to share with you!

I really love the finished effect! Great choice of polishes... green polish is one of my favorites! The gradient established by the different polishes is really nice
