Coral and Black Jelly Sandwich

So, after doing that eyeball nail art yesterday, I wanted to give myself a little bit easier of a mani that wouldn't take too much time but would still be a showstopper!

The obvious answer? JELLY SANDWICH!

You can view my previous jelly sandwich mani here.

For this look, I put on three thin coats of OPI Big Hair... Big Nails, which is one of their "sorbet" aka jelly shades from the Texas Collection. Then I put on one coat of Wet N Wild's Tangled In My Web which is a black hex glitter from the limited edition On the Prowl Collection. I put another two coats of Big Hair Big Nails on top of that, and this is what I ended up with!

Tangled In My Web did not want to be covered up, so they still look rather black instead of buried underneath the color of the jelly.

One of my favorite things about jelly polishes are how freakin' shiny they are. This looks like straight up gloss poured on my nails. I had two people at lunch comment on my nails and how cool they looked!

I sort of thought this looked like a strawberry and strawberry seeds, but obviously less uniform. Maybe I should try putting green on the tops! :)

I promise I'm gonna have my Nail Photo Basics Part II post up soon, I've just had such a busy past few days! I know many of you were looking forward to it so I will definitely get to it soon!

Also, I thought it would be cool to show you guys a couple of recent interpretations that other people have done of my manis! Amber at The Polished Momma did a version of my fat marshmallow ghosties that you can check out over on her blog, and Jacki at Adventures In Acetone did my ladybug nails for the last day of her 31 Day Challenge (congrats on finishing it Jacki!!). I thought these ladies did a great job.

Finally, for those of you that are on Twitter, Chalkboard Nails now has its own Twitter account. Give us a shout if you have any questions or want to show us your nails... or whatever! Just go say hi if you want!
