Skeleton Skittle

More Halloween nail art! I never have been good at spacing out my posts appropriately. :)

So, I wanted to do something with a skeleton, but what? I could do the standard skull and crossbones, but I wanted to do something a little different from that. I thought on it for a while and decided that doing different bones or skeleton pieces on each nail would be perfect! I realize that my use of the term "skittle" here may be incorrect, but I'm using it in the sense that there is something different on every nail. If you don't like my vocab, tough! ;D Here's the product:

crossed bones, ribcage, pelvis, hand, skull

I'm not tryin' to toot my own horn here or anything, but I am pretty much in love with how cute this mani turned out! The little skeleton skull with the big eyes, the pelvis butterfly, the ribcage... They are all so cute!

I wanted to do this look on a matte base because I thought it would look cool. No other reason, haha. So the base is two coats of Zoya Savita, a  matte purple. Maybe its technically a suede? It has some really pretty shimmer in it. I've never been very good at classifications.

Then I handpainted on all of the parts in white with a tiny little nail art brush and a dotting tool in select areas. I used China Glaze White On White.

I feel like we should give this skeleton a name. Anyone want to suggest anything? :)

I had a tricky time getting the pelvis and the skull to look right, so I redid each of those once. I'm super happy with the results for them on the second try, though, so it was worth it!

That's my skeleton skittle! It's finally cooling off here in good ol' AZ, so I'm really starting to get into the fall mood. I can't wait for Halloween!
