I had quite a time getting these to photograph correctly... and even know they still leave a bit to be desired. But you get the idea and I hope you like these! :)
For this design, I used:
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White
OPI Sparrow Me the Drama
OPI Do You Lilac It?
China Glaze Re-fresh Mint
China Glaze Happy Go Lucky
China Glaze Peachy Keen
Emily helped me brainstorm and pick out the colors for these, and I love the way that they turned out! All of the designs are freehanded with a number of different brushes and dotters.
I did a little half moon sun on my thumb:
On my first go at this design, I did a woven basket nail on my ring finger using this tutorial. I liked it but ultimately decided to redo that one nail with the chick design you see in the other photos. Check out the basket nail below.
I even managed to do this design well on my non dominant hand (not pictured)! I love when nails are skittle designs (also known as a "mix up" I think).
What do you think? Have you done any Easter or spring nail art designs?
Basket came out nice but the chick is so darn cute. Good choice.

ReplyDeleteLove the floppy bunny ear, and the chick feet are hysterical! The basket weave came out nice but the chick feet are adorable! Really like the flower pattern you did on your pinkie as well.
ReplyDeleteLove them all! I started out with bunnies and polka dots but after getting some pastel colors I redid them with chicks in eggs and some zigzag stripey/dotted easter egg looking things lol.
ReplyDeleteThe chick really completes this manicure!!! Super adorable!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and might even be something I could do. I finally am collecting a file of ideas for nail art so when I need them I don't have a blank mind - me who is so non original. I can copy well but not an inventive artist!
