Fizzy French - OPI Coca-Cola Nail Art

When I first heard about the OPI and Coca Cola collaboration, I thought it was an unusual pairing. I mean, nail polish and soda? But now that I've had a chance to play with the polishes, I can say that as long as collections like this one keep coming out, I don't care if OPI partners with aliens from the moon. The lacquers are all wonderful and I can see the direct relation between the shades and the sodas they are meant to represent.

I created this simple Fizzy French tip look using two polishes from the Coca-Cola by OPI collection.

How can you modify a French tip when you're using soda-inspired polishes? Add some carbonation, of course!

I started by using large dots to vaguely follow the tips of my nails, which reinforced the faux-French effect. Once I was happy with the tips, I added more small dots floating away from them. There you have it: instant carbonation! Seriously, this nail art takes almost no time at all. All you need is a dotting tool and five minutes.

Shades used:
OPI Coca-Cola Red - Two coats shown, one coat needed. Great red.
OPI My Signature is "DC" - Highly pigmented and beautiful silver.

What do you think of this look? Will you be picking up any of the Coca-Cola by OPI lacquers?

Coca-Cola by OPI is available now in professional salons like Beauty Brands, ULTA, Trade Secret, and more.

  1. Gah! I love it! It is a great Coke representation. I totally see the fizzy bubbles. And aliens on the moon? I'll now be patiently waiting for that collaboration..

  2. This is cute! Love the red and silver combination.

  3. I love the design you've created and it's perfect for this collaboration! I was a bit confused about the collaboration too, but I agree the nail polishes in the collection are so nice! :)

  4. I love this! I've done dot french tips before, but not with such big and merged dots. I'm totally going to try it soon!

  5. Cute! Makes me thirsty for a Coke! :)

  6. Sarah, lovely nail art, as always. You've managed to symbolically illustrate the "pop" (as we call soda in the Midwest) concept. I'm eagerly anticipating the OPI/Mustang 50th anniversary collection!

  7. Totally cute. Love it.

I like what you have done with the 'bubbles' x

  9. Super cute and it indeed resembles the carbonation very well!

  10. These are super cute, I love these!

  11. Wow, it really does remind me of the strong carbonation of Coke. Love it!

Very cute! This collection is soooo dope, and I love that there are 9 shades so I can mix and match and have endless combinations for nail art, accent nails, french, what have you! I am in total awe of this collection, OPI did an amazing job with formulas and colors. Seriously, can't say enough good things about it!

  13. What a nice idea <3 Now I am craving for some coke xD
